And you wonder why I’m gaining weight…

I went down to lunch intending to get a nice light salad, with a crunchy juicy Pink Lady apple as a treat. I did get the Pink Lady apple, but… …the cafeteria was serving up Thanksgiving food!!! Turkey and polenta and mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes and stuffing and gravy. If you got nothing out of my last post, you should have gotten that Thanksgiving food is my downfall. If I had a choice between cake or Thanksgiving food, I’d pick Thanksgiving food. If I had a choice between cookies and Thanksgiving food, I’d pick Thanksgiving food. Pretty much the …

Gaining weight and still dreaming of Thanksgiving

Work is crazy – haven’t had a chance to write the second headphone review. If I don’t post by tonight, the contest deadline for a free set will definitely not be until at least Monday end-of-day, because I know the weekend is where posts go to die and I don’t want to exclude anyone. I am gaining weight like crazy (see how disgustingly much I gained in just the first week of Swap Meet). A few days later, I had a package with not just one but four delicious bars to try! The bars had a smoothed-over texture that tasted good and was nice in my mouth (smooth and satiny yet still heavy and filling). At first I wasn’t a fan of the appearance of the bar, which looked somewhat processed and artificial (interesting, because the bar is 100% natural and not artificial in the least!). I …

I am a cookie monster

Challenge = failure. Since I don’t want to be a failure, I’m changing the rules. From now on, instead of allowing myself to break the “no processed carbs” rule only for one meal on each of the two days preceding a marathon, I can have processed carbs all day for each of the two days beforehand. There, now I’m not failing. Basically, yesterday I had a work dinner, and I hit on the most amazing tactic for not gorging myself like a pig. First, I had a late lunch – at 3 PM. It was also a light lunch, consisting …
