Weekend Recap: Munich!

Laura_Viktualienmarkt

Weekend of May 18-19 Flight prices to get from Florida to Colorado were crazy leading up to Memorial Day weekend, which I guess extended to the weekend before this year. So I decided to take advantage of being on the East Coast and keep heading east… over the pond to Munich, Germany, where I met up with Craig and a group of his friends for the end of their European tour. We had a blast! The trip started out rather ominously. I had a 4:30pm flight out of Miami, and since 4:30pm ET is 10:30pm Central European Time, I planned to go …

Vacation Recap: Five Days in Vienna

St_Stephens_Cathedral_Exterior

Last week, I took a last minute whirlwind vacation to Vienna, Austria – and it was fabulous! Work has been incredibly stressful lately, so when my friend Craig (who’s spending six weeks traveling in Africa and Eastern Europe) invited me to join him for a few days in Austria… I said yes. Thanks to my stash of airline miles, it didn’t cost anything out of pocket for me to book flights there and back. The only challenge was the itinerary: I’d fly Denver to Chicago on Tuesday for meetings, Chicago to New York for more meetings, New York to Richmond …

Ragnar_Team_Finish_Pic

Thursday night kicked off my second ever Ragnar Relay experience. At designated exchanges, another team member jumps out of the van to start the next leg, while the van picks up the previous runner and continues on down …

Suitcase_with_EatSmart_Packing_Cubes

Ever since my promotion to Director, my travel schedule has gotten a little bit crazier, as I’m now responsible for managing multiple projects across multiple clients – which means a lot more travel. I thought I had packing down to a science, but I recently added a new product to help me corral my stuff: EatSmart’s Packing Cubes. I had never bothered with packing cubes before, as I already typically roll my clothes to save on space – couldn’t I keep doing that without a packing cube? However, I discovered that packing cubes are also good for organization. When I’m …

Weekend Recap: Parties and Plane Delays

Finished_Run_For_The_Horses_2018

I was exhausted going into Labor Day weekend, and I think I’m even more exhausted coming out of it. Unfortunately, I think that’s going to be the norm for me me over the next couple of months as my campaign kicks into high gear… so I’d better get used to being busy! (Fortunately, I love it.) On Friday evening, I caught a flight from Denver to Albany, New York, where I was visiting my family for the holiday weekend. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as simple as that one line implies. Although I had booked the nonstop flight, it ended up getting …
