Back on the Wagon

Sorry for the six day disappearance – it would seem that I never get around to posting on my good days. Okay, not that this weekend constituted “good days.” I mean, they were fantastic days from a fun perspective, and from a Mexican perspective as well… but not so much from a diet standpoint. The Post-Workout Race

I’ve actually been getting a bit better about working out since totally blowing it off this weekend. On Monday, I got up at 6:30 and did 30 minutes on the Gazelle trainer before work. But… as I was leaving the gym, I saw a sign that there was a new Zumba class on Monday nights. Sold! A sign that I should get to the gym more often

This morning, I planned to go for a 4-5 mile run to see how my knee was doing and decide if I was able to run the National Marathon this weekend. However, I overslept and ended up with only enough time to do a quick 10 minute workout. Though it was a beautiful day, I decided that I wasn’t going to run outside for just one mile. A women’s discussion group I’m in is currently addressing goals for 2009… can you believe there are only 2.5 months left in the year? Time sure flies! However, 2.5 months is still enough time to make some progress on goals I haven’t yet finished. Without further adieu, let’s dive into my 2009 New Year’s fitness resolutions. Pole Dance Class? (Yes, For Real)

Recently, I joined a meetup group that wasn’t my typical book club, pub club, or wine tasting group. The title of this one is “Crunch Gym Pole Dancing,” and it was started by a woman named Sandy who was looking for girlfriends to accompany her to the pole dancing classes at Crunch gyms.
