Weekend roundup

In all of my unhappy ruminating about my job and how it can make it hard to build relationships, I didn’t mention one of the perks I like best: that I usually get a three day weekend of sorts. From Monday to Thursday, I work at my client site (lately that’s in Texas and Virginia, for my client’s two locations). Mixing it up

While the Insanity program was good in that I could do it from home, I fell into a bit of a slump afterward because I wasn’t used to going to the gym. Insanity was just something I fit in – both timewise and in the corner of my hotel room – instead of something I had to make time to do. Adjusting and Getting a Fresh Start

This week has been flying by! I’m headed back to NYC tonight because I have a company event to attend tomorrow. While I still will be working tomorrow and Friday, my time at the client was cut super short – first because I couldn’t find a flight to get me to the office before lunchtime on Monday, and then because I have to fly out this afternoon. To further exacerbate the problem, my client was at a different location Monday and Tuesday, so I really need to fit a week’s worth of questions/iterations with them into just 8 hours before …

Sexy Saturday: Part 1

On Saturday, I had big dinner plans: some friends and I have formed a kind of “high end dining club,” where we go to really nice restaurants a few times a year. Saturday’s event was scheduled for Jean Georges (the main restaurant) at 8pm. Weekend Fitventures

As you saw in yesterday’s post, this weekend I really did my best to get back on track, fitness-wise. I’ve been progressing right along with Insanity, and last week I started the brutal month #2 (seriously, it makes month #1 look like a playground game for kids).
