Meet me in St. Louis!

I’m finishing up my project in Boston today. When I came into work this morning, I didn’t have anywhere to go after this. My plan was to head back to New York to hang out for the week and hopefully get to spend a good amount of time with the boy (still haven’t come up with a name for him yet) before he goes ice climbing in Seattle next weekend (see, he’s crazy too – we’re a great match!). However, instead of taking a week of time to sit around and relax and whatnot… I’m now heading off to St. …

Last free marathon trip for a while… or is it?

I got word on Wednesday that I’ll probably be finishing up on the Boston project around July 14. Bye-bye alternate travel benefits was my first thought. Oops

You’ve got to love when you IM someone from your company at 6:30 AM, thinking they’re up for some chat, and you share a few personal things in your IM. Then they reply with, “I’m actually in a client meeting right now and my laptop is being projected… we’ll talk later.” (That has nothing to do with either drinking or fitness, but I still wanted to share.)

Sun poisoning can be fatal

I found and called a dermatologist in Boston to schedule an appointment. They took all my info to sign me up as a new patient, and then told me I could come in next Friday. I asked if they had anything sooner, and they asked what my symptoms were. When I told them, their response was: “You need to go to the emergency room. NOW.” It turns out sun poisoning can be fatal, and that my symptoms are indicative of some bad sun poisoning. So I chose a hospital on some semi-random recommendations. Fortunately, it happened to be less than …
