Two half-marathons in two days – interim report

I’m on the flight to Providence. I’m sitting in an exit row, and the flight attendant asked me how old I am, because you have to be 15 to sit here, and she didn’t think I was. God, I look so embarrassingly young. Brooklyn went… well, it didn’t really go well, but I finished. And I got a PR. I’m going to type a report during the flight and post it once I get to my hotel. Quick teaser: I used a running pickup line and actually attracted a really cute guy. Right now I want to go to bed …

Famous at last!

You know how everyone else with running blogs gets discovered by Clif Bars, or Mizumis, or other random running accessory places? My blog got discovered today by JetBlue. I am such a consultant. Further details to come (including answers to yesterday’s post) but it’s SLOPE DAY EVE! You’d think I’d be resting, but actually I’m getting my liver warmed up for tomorrow.

Hard boiled eggs and sliced apples! That’s like… there’s no way they can add fat or calories or crappy chemicals to that, right? Who am …

Flying with flab

So remember how I was feeling a little squished on my Monday morning flight? JetBlue sent me a follow up survey to see how my flight was. I really wasn’t that uncomfortable, but being fascinated with all things airline (I took an airline management course in college and would be very interested in working for an airline someday… or at least consulting for one), I used the comments field to pose some questions that I had wondered about on Monday. What is the policy for asking individuals to purchase an extra seat? Is it some kind of mandated enforcement based …

Boston Marathon (Spectator’s) Report

Everyone else has been slow posting their Boston race reports, so I decided I’ll follow the trend (at least, I’ll pretend that’s why it took me so long). Here at last is my spectator’s report! After a really annoying flight on Sunday afternoon with a screaming baby behind me, I arrived in Boston in time for dinner. I was staying with my friend Adam, and to thank him, I took him out to dinner to a restaurant that’s been on my list to try for a while: Petit Robert Bistro on Comm Ave (yes, right on the marathon route). It …
