You’ll always remember your first time…

I started writing this as a comment to Audrey, but it was long enough that I thought I’d put it into a real post instead. I still haven’t picked my marathon, but I’m enjoying everyone’s suggestions. I picked up a copy of Fodor’s Traveling Marathon Guide, so I’ll hopefully look through that and pick a fun place. Spirit of the Marathon

So like all the others who were slow to get their tickets the first time around and then heard what an awesome experience they missed out on, I went to see Spirit of the Marathon last night. Doing so was not an easy task. I normally fly out on Thursday nights, but there was no guarantee that I could get back to New York by 7:30 when the movie started, so I decided to stay in Boston an extra night and fly back early this morning instead. Running is not killing me… work is.

I wrote half of this yesterday, but with work being crazy, finished it and am posting it today. I’ll try to post something else later today to make up for my lapse. Because I’m such a good little Millenial (really interesting article here), I call my mom everyday and have a very close relationship with her. My first marathon training run (or, how I survived my first hangover)

Last night, Kelly’s Sports Bar in the East Village ran a special: 80 cent jagermeister shots and 80 cent Newcastle pints. Ridiculous! This started at 9, and when we got there at 11, it was absolutely packed. Within five minutes of our arrival, they ran out of beer (no, I was not responsible for that – in fact, I had not even managed to get a bartender’s attention yet).
