Healthy Recipe: Pumpkin Cheesecake Smoothie

Healthy Pumpkin Cheesecake Smoothie

This morning I woke up feeling hot. Sadly, it wasn’t hot like “damn I look good,” but more of “damn it, Colorado, I turned the heat on because it snowed Thursday night but now it’s going to be 70 today so I should have had the A/C on to sleep.” The weather here is so flaky! (But I still love it.) I decided I wanted a smoothie for breakfast, so first I checked through my arsenal of random samples to see what protein powders I had and could use up… but I ended up mixing, tasting, and discarding all three. …

Sponsored Healthy Recipe: Thai Steak Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette

Bachelor In Paradise And Wine

I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for the Beef Checkoff. I received products to facilitate this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating. When I received an opportunity to partner with the Beef Checkoff to host a party featuring a beef recipe, I was really excited. So many people think that if you want to eat healthy, you can’t eat red meat… but that’s just not true. Vegetti

My friend Becki did a great recipe post this week, and talked about using a Vegetti to spiralize her veggies into pasta. I had heard of a spiralizer before, but it seemed expensive/difficult/complicated. However, when Becki made it look so easy, and pointed out that the Vegetti is cheaper than a regular spiralizer, I popped over to Amazon and bought myself one… for just $13. Hooray for Amazon Prime, because today at lunchtime, it was on my doorstep! As you may have noticed, I’ve totally fallen through on my promise to get some race reports up this week. Work has just …

Review / Giveaway: 34 Degrees Crisps

This weekend, I managed to pack in a lot of fun stuff. I kicked off a long weekend by flying home a day early to volunteer at my office’s take-your-kids-to-work-day. Wow, that has changed so much since I was a kid! I remember going to my mom’s office in downtown Albany (she worked for the State of New York before she retired), doing a 30 minute tour of the office along with the other dozen or so kids who attended, and then either hanging out at her desk playing with office supplies, or sometimes, being put to work in the …
