Catch Up

Gosh, I suck at posting. But I’m on a plane right now and reading Maureen Lipinski’s Not Ready for Mom Jeans (hilarious novel about a blogger who just became a new mom… reminds me of Jenn Lancaster‘s style), and her blogging has inspired me to get back on the horn. Get ready for the rundown! So the short version of the past week… worked my butt off in Chicago on a new project, worked my belly off at the gyms in Chicago as part of our firm’s fitness challenge (first day: 1.5 hours of elliptical, 30 minutes of strength training. …

How to refuel after a double? Deck diesel!

After a grueling weekend of two marathons, you’d think I’d be ridiculously sore and barely able to walk… but that’s not the case! Monday morning I woke up with about the level of soreness I normally have after just one marathon, which was a huge improvement over how I felt Saturday morning after the brutal downhill in Salt Lake City. Getting stronger

No marathons for me this weekend – I’m off to Phoenix for some sun, fun, Mexican food, and margaritas! I set my alarm for 6:30 AM and actually stuck to it, but then decided to make Boyfriend breakfast in bed: Bobby Flay’s banana Nutella paninis. …

Interim Post

Aaron left a hilarious comment that reminded me I’d forgotten to post afterward. “OK, creepy, I know, but I needed to see how she did, so I worked my way through the results until I found a Laura from New York… 🙂 Time (4:48:39)(if that’s you) looks good to me with all the travel and drinking. Hope you’re happy with it!!” I was about to write a response back to him, but figured I’d post it publicly and thereby gain another day or two of procrastination on my race report. First response to his comment: HAHAHA! I’ve totally searched results …

Oh happy day

Work sucked last night but it is time to put on my happy face. And I currently have good reason to do so – work is done and I am FREE for the night! At 6:30 PM! How unbelievable. I don’t even know what to do with myself. Should I cook? Should I go to the gym (I have not worked out one stitch since the Atlanta Marathon on Thanksgiving… oops!)? Should I go to a bar and get wasted? Should I just go to bed? The possibilities are endless. However, the most exciting thing: tomorrow I go to HAWAII! …
