Inching Toward Inbox Zero

Six Filters To Make Your Inbox Manageable

On Saturday, I mentioned that I’m buckling down and setting some new goals for myself – the DietBet that I talked about is one of my two personal goals that are part of my work team’s latest round of 6×6. (I didn’t write a recap post of the last round, but it went pretty well – I’d say I hit 90% success on three of the four goals, and 100% on #4.) This time around, DietBet is one of my personal goals for the six weeks, and I’m excited to start that challenge next Wednesday. So far no one has joined …

It’s Princess Night!

Instead of flying home to Denver tonight, I’m sticking around Dallas. However, as this week progressed, I realized that I didn’t yet have any plans for tonight. Rather than trying to find another poor planner who wasn’t booked in advance, I decided it was high time that tonight I do something that I always try to do but never actually end up doing. App I Love: Full Text RSS Feed

Over my Christmas vacation, I intended to get caught up on my blog reading… but that unfortunately didn’t totally happen. Oops! However, I recently discovered an app that has greatly improved my blog reading experience, and wanted to share it with all of you. Have you ever added a blog to your RSS reader and been irritated to discover that the blogger has set up their feed to only show “excerpts?” That is, your reader shows a few sentences or maybe even a few paragraphs, but then you get the dreaded “click here to continue reading?” That pisses me off …

Stressed? Write it Down

Stressed? Write Down Your Problems

“When you’re lost and alone, and you’re sinking like a stone… carry on.” While Monday was a day when it seemed like I just kept getting lucky with things going right, today was one of those terrible, horrible, no good, very bad days where I got so stressed out that I wanted to go cry in the office bathroom. Evidently I wasn’t the only one… Finally, though, the day is over – so while I still have some work to do, I can at least do it from the comfort of my hotel room. (Which means it’s now my party …
