My Friday was work of a different kind – I had taken a few more days off this week to finish my ski instructor training at Beaver Creek! I finished up training on Wednesday and Thursday, but Friday and Saturday I was doing “audits” – where I observe other instructors teach classes to help me better learn the flow. It was interesting to see how each instructor had a very different style, but it was also frustrating not to be able to step in myself. I am eager to teach! Once again, this post will be a little longer than a weekend recap. Although we just had a long weekend because of Thanksgiving, I took Wednesday through Friday off this past week again – this time, to attend training to become a ski instructor at Beaver Creek! I normally only recap my weekends, since weekdays I typically work pretty late so there isn’t a lot to blog about. I didn’t have a ton of plans for this weekend before Thanksgiving, but I was looking forward to getting some quality time in with both my mom and J. My weekend unfortunately did not start off well. A few minutes after I woke up, J let me know that his son had a sore throat and wouldn’t be going to school.
