This was one of the best weekends I’ve had in a long time! A huge variety of activities, quality time with a lot of wonderful people, and some epiphanies about how I want to schedule my weekends in the future. This weekend was pretty low-key, in large part to some bad weather most of the weekend! I’m about ready for summer, so it was kind of a bummer to have icky weather so often. This weekend was Cinco de Mayo, which is always one of my favorite holidays to celebrate. Margaritas and tacos, what more can you ask for?! But my annual Cinco de Mayo party this year is becoming an “Once de Mayo” party next Friday; this weekend, I had a “guac off” and a fiesta-themed wedding to attend. This weekend started earlier than most! I’ve been desperately needing a vacation for a while, but last month, realized that taking a day off every month was probably going to be the best I could do for a while. I was booked for training all day Thursday in Fort Lauderdale, and the session wrapped up too late for me to catch a flight home that night, so I decided to stick around, take a half day on Friday, and spend Friday morning soaking up the sun before flying home that afternoon. Race Report: Broncos 7K Fort Collins

As I wrote in my weekend recap last week, I woke up on Saturday morning to a ton of snow – and immediately knew my race wasn’t going to be nearly as fast as I had hoped.
