What I Read in November 2020

Best_Books_Of_November_2020

Whoops, totally missed getting this posted sooner! I only read five books in November, but that still puts me well ahead of pace to hit 100 books this year. While many of my goals have changed this year due to COVID19, I’m thrilled that my 100 book goal is one that I am definitely going to hit. 4 stars: Christmas at the Island Hotel, by Jenny Colgan: I hadn’t read the Mure books in a little while, but Jenny Colgan did a fantastic job pulling me back into the world and the characters even if I didn’t remember every single …

What I Read in October 2020

Best_Books_Of_October_2020

I read seven books in the month of October – not as much as I was reading at the height of quarantine this spring, but still more than this summer. (I would imagine that I will be reading even more in November and December, as the weather gets colder and I’m less able to hit the trails.) That puts me at 88 books read in 2020, which is six ahead of where I need to be to hit 100 books by the end of the year. I’m excited to surpass my goal! 4 stars: 500 Miles from You, by Jenny …

What I Read in September 2020

Best_Books_Of_September_2020

I read a bit less in September than in previous months – it was a busy month for me! But I still read five books, which keeps me six books ahead of my goal to read 100 books in 2020. I can’t believe we’re already into the last quarter of 2020; this is going to be a good year of reading, for sure! 4 stars: Beach Read, by Emily Henry: This came highly recommended, and I thought it was good, but maybe not quite all it was hyped up to be. Cute story, and I really enjoyed learning more about …

What I Read in August 2020

Best_Books_Of_August_2020

I read 12 books in the month of August! That’s a significant step up for me, and I’m really glad my reading game is back on (rather than me just socializing and never taking time to read). I’m currently at 77 books read in 2020, which is 10 ahead of my goal to read 100 by the end of the year. Going to keep this momentum up in September, for sure! 5 stars: Rodham, by Curtis Sittenfeld: I love, love, LOVED this book, and stayed up all night reading it – then immediately bought a copy on Amazon to send …

What I Read in July 2020

Best_Books_Of_July_2020

Twelve books read in July! COVID has certainly helped me rediscover my love of reading, and I’ve been getting a lot of it in. As of July 31st, I’m at 65 books read in 2020, which is 7 ahead of the pace I need to be on to read 100 books by the end of the year. 5 stars: White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism, by Robin J. DiAngelo: I loved this book – which is not at all to say it was a comfortable read. DiAngelo pinpointed my feelings and racist behaviors …
