To gym or not to gym?

This morning, I was catching up on an episode of the Biggest Loser (episode 7, for those of you who follow along), wherein some of the contestants lost the use of the gym for a week and had to make do without it. Bob and Jillian threw a hissy fit when that happened, talking all about how the gym was an integral part of getting in shape. In the end, they resorted to shoulder pressing lawn furniture, and they all seemed to lose a decent amount of weight that week (no spoilers from me about whether they won or not). …

The Bachelor vs a bachelor

Today has been a whirlwind day! It’s my last day in town before my 2 months of travel (with only a few days at home sprinkled in between), so I had a lot to do around the apartment to get all my loose ends tied up. Adventures in cross country skiing

When I last left you, I was headed off to the Microbrasserie de Chamonix (MBC) to sample some locally brewed beers. It ended up being about a mile’s walk from my B&B along a pretty cross country ski trail, where I saw lots of people schussing along. It looked like fun! I’d never cross country skied before, but I knew it was supposed to be an incredible workout, and with the beauty of the Alps all around me, I decided that on Sunday I’d give it a try. But for now, it was biere time! I arrived at the brewery …

Bouncing

The problem with not being able to post immediately when I experience something is that my mood can change so quickly. One change of plans, one phone call, one email, etc, and I can go from feeling like I can conquer the world to ruining my night. And the problem with New Year’s Resolution #9, put myself out there at least once a week, is that when you put yourself out there, you can get hurt. I try to keep my dating life mostly out of this blog, but I would just like to note for all you twentysomething guys …
