Who knew?

Turns out that drinking a ton of Bailey’s on the rocks in the Sky Club bar does cure a cold. I am feeling 100% better, despite sleeping for less than 7 hours and on a plane to boot. It also turns out that even if you only paid $151 for your ticket, if there is a mechanical delay for two hours (that actually works out for the better because you get to stay at the bar longer and you get into Copenhagen at a more reasonable hour), Delta will still give you a voucher for $200. St. Patrick’s Day – A PSA

Today is St. Patrick’s Day, and it seems that everyone’s blog posts are about the various beer-filled celebrations going on. While that kind of party aftermath post would normally be an Absolut(ly) Fit classic, unfortunately, that’s not the kind of post you’re going to get from me. This weekend, I got some pretty exciting news. In a few weeks, I am going to Warsaw with my Dad to visit my family there, and they are extremely proud of my marathon accomplishments. Turns out, my Dad’s best friend in Warsaw is very well-connected, and mentioned it to one of his friends, who is a journalist. If you ever go to a beer festival…

1. Buy the Delerium pink elephant hat. It may look stupid, but if you wear it with confidence, it will help you get elected “queen of the festival” (at least, by a drunk Belgian soccer team with no authority whatsoever). As an added bonus, you may also get a marriage proposal or two. 2. Check how much each of the beers are before you buy ten tokens. Bonjour from Brussels!

So far today:-Landed in Amsterdam-Took another flight to Brussels (where every store displays their beer in the window) -Managed to figure out all the trains (with transfers) from Brussels Airport to my hotel in Grand Place-Worked out in a crazy Rachel Cosgrove way-Got lunch at an organic sandwich shop -Worked for a while-Went to a bar (Delirium Cafe)-Had several Belgian beers I LOVE BELGIUM!!!!
