Top Tips to Achieve Inbox Zero

Top Tips To Achieve Inbox Zero

Hey, remember when I made it a goal to hit Inbox Zero? I am still so far from hitting that with my personal and blog email. But at 4:30am today, this happened: That’s right, I hit Inbox Zero with my work email! Hooray for night shifts where I have a chance to send tons of emails out and won’t get replies until after I leave the office 🙂 Basically, this is like the “offline attack” cited by Fast Company as one method to help you keep from getting overwhelmed while going through your inbox: Nothing is more emotionally defeating than spending …

The Perfect Amount of Stress

The last week has been a crazy blur of activity. We are nearing our big go-live for work, and since my role on the program is release management, that means it’s crunch time. I knew that this time was coming, but compared to our previous go-live, it just seems so much crazier! On Saturday, I mentioned that I’m buckling down and setting some new goals for myself – the DietBet that I talked about is one of my two personal goals that are part of my work team’s latest round of 6×6. (I didn’t write a recap post of the last round, but it went pretty well – I’d say I hit 90% success on three of the four goals, and 100% on #4.) This time around, DietBet is one of my personal goals for the six weeks, and I’m excited to start that challenge next Wednesday. So far no one has joined …

Apps I Love: LastPass

I am by no means an expert on internet security. However, I do feel confident that I know more about the topic than my delightfully un-tech-savvy mother. Here’s an example of a GChat conversation we had when she first learned about the “In Case of Emergency” feature on her phone. Mom: Wow, I don’t have in case of er set up. Guess I should me: it was an option right on my phone; not sure if it’s on yours Mom: yes, I just set a note on Personnel Info under In case of emergency to call me me: um, that’s …
