I’m not in Austin

Project didn’t end up happening, which is kind of par for the course. Basically, you should never count on going somewhere until you’re actually on the plane and in flight… and even then I’d say you still have a 10% chance of having the project get cancelled.

So what does this mean I’m up to? Ah, wonderful things. I’m currently lying in bed, half-watching the Rachael Ray show on television (shut up), and doing some research for a potential client. Sometimes when I get ambitious, I put my computer on top of my tall dresser and get on my mini stair stepper while I work. I can take a break whenever I want to go to the gym, go to the grocery, do errands (I still need to go to Super Runners Shop to buy a fuel belt), cook, etc. Yesterday morning, I baked Tiffany’s banana bread – it was amazing, and at only 116 calories per slice, how can you go wrong?

I know the bread isn’t raw, but last night I had it for dessert with Organic Nectars Raw Agave Gelato. I know you all think I’m a raw food eating nut now, but you should also know how obsessive I am about ice cream and let me tell you, this is the BEST ice cream I’ve ever tasted, raw or not. The cashew milk it’s made from is WAY richer than any cow’s milk ice cream I’ve had, and it was just absolutely incredible! The only bad thing is, it’s very expensive – $7 for a half-pint (two servings)! Totally crazy, though if I went out for ice cream twice it would be $4 each, so I guess it’s about the same. And like I said, it is seriously the best ice cream I’ve ever tried – please please please try it if you can find it where you live.

Hopefully this little break from work will give me the chance to get caught up on my blog reading – I’m very behind. I’m also hoping it will help me work out more and eat better. I’m kind of worried about the challenge – yesterday I was way up in weight, and I think it’s due to the fact that I ate so much crap this weekend. This is my week to get back on track though – I’m home all day every day, so it’s easy to eat well and exercise, and I have the marathon on Saturday morning which will help a lot too. Wish me luck!

  1. The raw food sounds like something I’d like to incorporate. I feel like when I was trying to eat more things like Lara bars, they were high in fat. How does the ice cream stack up? It sounds delish!

  2. Sorry the project feel through, Austin would’ve been awesome!

Good for you on getting back on track and keep the food recipes coming! I’m determined to try the kale smoothing soon!
