This weekend started earlier than most! I’ve been desperately needing a vacation for a while, but last month, realized that taking a day off every month was probably going to be the best I could do for a while. I was booked for training all day Thursday in Fort Lauderdale, and the session wrapped up too late for me to catch a flight home that night, so I decided to stick around, take a half day on Friday, and spend Friday morning soaking up the sun before flying home that afternoon. Weekend Recap: Packed with Plans

Last weekend was packed, but the only big thing to report was a race I did Saturday… for which you’ll need to stay tuned for a full race report. It was a good one! Thursday night, as soon as I landed, I headed straight downtown for Denver Rescue Mission’s annual volunteer appreciation event. We got to enjoy hors d’oeuvres and a presentation on the impact of our service, and then were released to explore the History Colorado Museum. Weekend Recap: Fitnesswear to Formal

This weekend had quite a few polar opposites as I went from fitness gear to formalwear… but getting to experience all sides of the spectrum is exactly how I like it! My flight got in a bit early on Thursday, which allowed me to meet a friend at Twelve Degrees in Louisville for a quick drink to kick off my time at home. Weekend Recap: A Full Weekend Off Work!

I did my best this weekend to take both Saturday and Sunday off work… and was pretty proud that I mostly succeeded! Of course, it took me working till 8pm Friday night to do so, but I’ll gladly take the baby steps to better work-life balance. Last weekend was pretty spectacular, and it helped me start this week feeling refreshed… and hopeful about a new direction I’m planning to take going forward.
