I very intently read the “elliptical workout dos and don’ts”. I know in my heart of hearts that I’ll be on that dumb thing a lot more than I’ll be running in the future. (and I do stress dumb-thing. I hate the elliptical.) That said, I was sort of uninspired about the dos / donts that they called out. They all seemed pretty straight forward. I’m not sure if that is a function of me just knowing what to do or if there really isn’t a whole lot to actually being successful on it? **Shrugs**
Honestly, I think the only trick to being successful on the elliptical is just remembering to go HARD. It is pretty easy on there to get distracted and then not push it, compared to running where as long as your legs are going you’re still getting a decent workout.
