I caught up on my running blog reading for the last two days – it took me more than three hours. I really hope I am never away from Google Reader for a week, or I will really be in trouble. Total count: 60 subscriptions. And that doesn’t include the diet/fitness blogs, which I haven’t yet caught up on. I’ll put all of these up in some type of sidebar eventually, but I’m feeling a little lazy right now, and I have some actual work-work that I really should get going on.
Also, Vanilla’s hilarious post reminded me of another crazy running blogger trait: wishing for snow and/or going running in the snow just so you can blog about how hardcore you are. I did this last week in my half-marathon. As awesome as running my first half-marathon was, it would have made me so much cooler if I could say I ran it uphill both ways in the snow (yes, the Central Park loop has uphills on both the east side and the west side). I don’t think I have ever run when it was actually snowing, but I’ve run when there was snow on the ground. Not on the sidewalks though, so I left the helmet at home. Sorry Mom!
Hey laura-
I checked out your blog, it is pretty awesome! Want to do a little bit of mutual link posting on our respective sites?

Andy – I put a link to you in my first crazy running blogger thing. Also, sometime in the next few days I’m going to finally get my act together and add my fav blog links to my sidebar – you’ll def be in there when I do.
Thanks for stopping by!
Ha ha. Cute 🙂
Laura, I hear you abt running hardcore. Those stories abt running in the rain, the snow, the sleet, even the high heat are the only points of connection I have with my non-running friends, because at least they can comment on those tales, “You’re crazy!” or “I’d never do that!” It’s much easier for them to kindly dismiss my habit when I’m running mad than when I’m running 3.5 on a perfectly acceptable day.
Hey Laura-
Thanks for commenting on my blog, 100 miles of racing stories. I look forward to hearing more about your experiences since we’ll be running some of the same races. Gearin’ up for the Boogie Down Bronx!! See ya!
