My weekend unfortunately did not start off well. A few minutes after I woke up, J let me know that his son had a sore throat and wouldn’t be going to school. Although J’s son’s school is closed, J and his ex have chosen to keep their son in an optional program where he goes to school every day and does his online learning from the school cafeteria with several other kids, all masked, and then they can play together outside during breaks. My Friday night kicked off with lots of my favorite people: J and I had a Zoom double date with my friends Heather and Kirk, and then we watched Great British Bake-Off with my mom! It was a great mix of “social time” (at home) and time cozied up on the couch (though mom has her own couch across the room, to keep a bit more distance). This week has been really different – so much is changing in my life! My role at work has changed quite a bit due to COVID19, and there’s also the major lifestyle change that where I used to fly all over the country 50 weeks a year, I now haven’t set foot on a plane since March.
