My weekend started off on the disappointing side – with rainy, cold weather that made me cancel plans to go to my work’s annual Promotion Day. Weekend Recap: SPG Life

My “weekend” started a little bit early this week, as I took Friday off work to go to the beach. I decided last month that it was silly that I’ve been working in Florida for 1.5 years and have barely seen the ocean, so I am now trying to take one Friday off a month to stay in Florida and enjoy the beach! Race Report: Boca Holiday Mile

Although I ran a 19:57 5K at Orangetheory recently, I’ve been eager for a while to find a sea level 5K at which I can actually PR (treadmill training doesn’t count). I looked at various Florida race calendars to see if there would be any races on weeknights, when I would already be in town for work, and while I wasn’t lucky enough to find a 5K race, I discovered that Boca Raton would be doing a one mile race to kick off their annual holiday parade. One of the best parts about consulting is how we move around from project to project, applying experience in one industry/situation to another. One month I’m working on a business case for a new product in the tech industry, the next, I’m writing change management communications for a pharmaceutical client.
