Weekend of November 16-17 This was a very short weekend for me, as I had work events in Chicago through Saturday morning. But I managed to pack a lot in! My week of travel was crazy – six cities in six days. However, thanks to a big snowstorm in Chicago on Monday, that leg of my trip got canceled, so I headed straight to Atlanta (my Tuesday destination). Weekend of October 25-27 Can you believe we had our first snowstorm in Colorado already?! I woke up on Thursday morning to find a few inches of snow… but I was flying out of town and off to upstate New York, where the fall foliage was still in brightly colored splendor. Vacation Recap: MidwEx Experience Camp

Two weeks ago, I once again had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering with Experience Camps. Experience Camps is a nonprofit organization that organizes free one-week sleepaway camps for grieving children who have lost a parent or sibling. Last year, I volunteered at the Southern California location (CalEx); this year, I had the opportunity to help Experience Camps open a brand new camp in Michigan (MidwEx). My weekend started off on the disappointing side – with rainy, cold weather that made me cancel plans to go to my work’s annual Promotion Day. Weekend of May 18-19 Flight prices to get from Florida to Colorado were crazy leading up to Memorial Day weekend, which I guess extended to the weekend before this year.
