Weekend of July 19-21 My weekend started a little bit early – with the kickoff of Back on my Feet (BoMF) Denver at 6:30am. I first heard about BoMF years ago, when Ericka used to volunteer with them in DC. BoMF seeks to combat homelessness by first building confidence and self-esteem through weekly group runs, then enrolling participants in financial literacy classes and job skills training. Weekend of July 13-14 This weekend was the first one I got to spend with Craig in the mountains with his new van. Since this is likely going to be the template for the rest of my summer, I was super excited! So, first – Craig’s van is actually an RV (a Travato 59K), meaning it’s 22 feet long, has a bathroom (with toilet and shower), and a king-sized bed. Race run on July 4, 2019 Last Thursday morning was the annual Superior Mile. While this has become an annual tradition for me, this year’s event was a little different than in years past! Craig had an 8am flight, so our alarm was set for 5:30am. I figured I’d get him out the door, then have plenty of time to get ready and leave for the 7:00am race start. Race report from Saturday June 29 My firm gives us the entire week of July 4th off – amazing! This year, my break kicked off with a race – the Broncos 7K in Fort Collins.
