Today should be Travel Thursday, but due to my South Florida client’s power outage, I’m working from home this week instead. I’m certainly thinking of all the people who were affected by either Irma or Harvey, especially those who haven’t yet been able to go home to see if things are okay. The uncertainty has to be terrible 🙁
In July, I made a summer bucket list of activities to try and places to go before Labor Day. I didn’t make it through my whole list, but I’d say I did about 75% of the activities. Over the last two months, I discovered that having a list of goals for the season is a fun way to make sure I’m getting out and doing new things! So I thought it would be fun to make another list for autumn, and see how much I can check off between now and December.
In no particular order, here goes:
- Explore a corn maze
- Eat cider donuts
- Watch football
- Make chili
- Carve a pumpkin
- Celebrate Oktoberfest
- Go leaf peeping
- Go fall hiking
- Go camping in the mountains
- Run a turkey trot
- Bake an apple pie
- Hang out at a beer garden
- Bake pumpkin bread
- Go to a haunted house
- Infuse bourbon with apple pie flavor
- Check out the fall blooms at Denver Botanic Gardens
- Go on a biking brewery tour
Now… who wants to join me on some of these adventures?!
I’ve always wanted to run a Turkey Trot! I hope this is the year I can convince my fiance to do one with me. 🙂
I hope so too – they are a ton of fun! Also, I love that you wrote a post on tips for bucket lists 🙂
Celebrate Oktoberfest! Spot on! Planning to go for the first time here in Toronto to Celebrate Oktoberfest. Just asked some friends the other day. Hopefully I can also start running again after a couple of weeks off with my knee injury. Let me know how the biking brewery tour goes – on my bucket list as well, most likely a winery tour since I’m not far from the Niagara wine county. BIG plans hehe
That will be so fun! Good luck with the knee injury and hope you can make it out to wine country 🙂
thanks, just looking for some foam rollers. I heard they are good for legs. Cheers.
Definitely – mine is a lifesaver!
