I’m looking at buying some property upstate, so yesterday, I caught a bus up to Albany where my parents live. My mom and I had a very low-key night at home, but I was very grateful to get to enjoy the bounty of her CSA for a simple yet delicious organic dinner of veggies and farro. Yum! After that, off to bed – because that’s how my crazy Friday nights roll 🙂
This morning, before heading up to Saratoga to meet with my realtor, I needed to get a workout in. My mom’s house doesn’t have any fitness equipment, and the muddied snow all over the roads/sidewalks didn’t really make for an inviting run – but that didn’t matter. According to my Plan B, I was going to work out as soon as I got up! So work out I did – no equipment necessary.
I had no idea how long this improvised workout was going to take, but once I got into it, the time flew by quickly, and I was pleased that it only ended up taking me 14:52. Not a bad way to get a lot of work done in a short amount of time! My brand new Nike+ Fuelband indicated that I earned about 250 points in the process, but given that this is my first day trying out the Fuelband, I have absolutely no idea that’s good or bad. Regardless of what the Fuelband says, though, I know that I worked up a good sweat to start my day – and that’s what matters!

Oooh, I’m excited about your property buying! I just sold my place in the UK and I miss the feeling of owning something. Weird, I know. How’s it going with the Fuelband?
Good luck in your property venture! Exciting news!
Fiona, I’m at 3900 right now, so I feel like it’s registering too much or something? I only set mine to have a goal of 2000 per day!
Che, thanks 🙂
